Professionals who are proficient in Lean Six Sigma and have the skills and knowledge to use it will often have better job opportunities and more chances to lead a team within a company. This methodology can also lead to higher salaries, as any industry should understand how valuable an LSS practitioner is. Unlike what many believe, not only are professionals able to reap these benefits, but also high school students have the opportunity to benefit from LSS as long as they are trained properly.
The key is focusing on how they gain the knowledge and skills for future projects and positions. All the certification and training required for this methodology can be accessed at Lean Six Sigma Curriculum for Fort Wayne High School Students of Indiana.
LSS is often misunderstood to be a tool that only professionals or companies can use to improve processes. However, this belief and perspective have changed, and it is due to recent implementations and inculcation of LSS in the education sector.
Lean Six Sigma’s strength lies in its ability to be applied by anyone and allow students to even get a job with a company without any prior experience. It offers the opportunity to practice skills that many high school students miss out on during their years at school, even when taking higher education.
But we understand you have a specific question as an educational institution or student alone: how does it actually benefit students?
LSS requires problem-solving, decision-making, confidence, and more skills and aptitudes. Individuals in training will develop or work in them to have control over Sigma and projects they manage as a result of knowing how to implement the methodology.
Thus, this allows students to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to manage daily activities and work towards better opportunities and personal growth.
Our company has the Yellow Belt and Green Belt available for high school students to access all the knowledge workers or professionals acquire. These represent the methodology’s intermediate and introductory levels. If you are a student, school board, or institution that is interested in LSS belts, this is all you will need.
- The yellow belt focuses more on personal skills. This belt helps students build confidence and manage problems.
- The green belt is team-based. They learn how to work together, develop leadership qualities and problem-solving skills, as well as improve their decision-making and understand the methodology to a point in which any project is possible for them.
Our team has over ten years of experience and is confident that we can be the experts your kids or students need. Or maybe you need us as the student.
Lean Six Sigma for Students — Complementing Their Skills & Knowledge
Training extends beyond the skills described above. We want you to be ready for any type of job and how you can help yourself when considering a new personal project, so you don’t have to depend on other people, at least not yet.
After completing this training, students should be able to understand the system and how they can work in an LSS team. They will be able to use the knowledge they have gained and the hours they spent in it.
The belt, just like regular courses, will dictate the topics and skills covered. But don’t worry, as each belt will prepare you for every opportunity.
- Training to become a yellow belt.
Students will be taught the basics of terminology, methodology, and data collection. They will also learn how it works and key principles and concepts. These are the most important things you’ll learn in yellow-belt school. We also included additional information not usually found when taking this training with other experts.
- Green belt training.
Lean 6 Sigma will be taught to them in more advanced, but the knowledge acquired in the yellow belt is required as the certification is a prerequisite to taking this next level.
Once they complete this green belt training and obtain certification, students will be able to use the methodology on a large scale. We want to encourage teamwork and leadership in order to help them achieve their goals.
This belt training covers the main topics: DMAIC, SIPOC and risk mitigation, regression analysis, and problem-solving.
Six Sigma Access to Students
Students can choose to get their certifications after they have been trained.
We want them to feel relaxed and able to learn in LSS green belt and yellow belt without feeling rushed.
After completing the green belt and yellow belt training, Lean Six Sigma Curriculum Pros of Fort Wayne will require them to take an exam and pass it with a minimum score—or more.
We can help you schedule training sessions or inform our team about the number of students that you plan to bring. You are welcome to come alone if you prefer!
